Ben’s now on the GCSE syllabus. I wrote a section on him in the English Literature textbook I co-wrote for OUP (OCR spec), which was a joy as his poetry really repays study. And to think he once did a reading in Northwich, where I live. I was there and full of admiration at the way he dealt with hecklers. He is an engaging performer – I love the way he does this poem.
